just thinking
it’s been a difficult week
how different each of us is as an individual
with unique priorities, goals, talents and ways of solving problems
I feel bruised
but, as with all bruises, in time they will disappear
never warp the loom when your mind is totally occupied with other thoughts
I sleyed the reed incorrectly (24 epi) and wove the first tea towel before I realized that it was rather narrow
so I cut it off and re-sley
and I got it wrong again (18 epi)- too wide and too loose this time
third time I paid attention (20 epi), yes!
then – the events of the week reminded me of how insignificant my own problems really are
the first “tea and tell” after a summer break was a pleasant change
Kathy’s overshot tea towels are lovely
Ann took a class at the Vavstuga Weaving School in Massachusetts this summer
everyone was eager to see her work
Arlene had two beautiful woven shawls, tea towels and was busy knitting hats for the winter
it would be wonderful if there was some sanity at the end of the rainbow
(I was stopped at a stop sign)!
Stuff happens, eh? Maybe it was just the dreary weather. We’ve all got the blahs (or in my case, a migraine). The rainbow is a perfect mood-lifter! Feel better soon, my dear.

i am sorry to hear of rough going. don’t our hands give us away when we are under too much duress? i hope things settle soon and the weaving goes along the way it should. i really really wish you better days and am sending a hug. (just to make you chuckle, the first time i typed it, it spelled it “hig”.) big HIG!

Velma – thanks for the hug, and I’ll take the hig, too (only from you). think my brain has gone on a walk about. my hands don’t always work on remote.

😦 I don’t like hearing that you’re having a tough time–I hope things look better soon. It’s nice that you got together with other weavers–they are certainly doing great things!

Kerry – thank you. a few of my weaving students get together every month, the show and tell is always fun and we have all learned a lot.

Your pinwheel weaving have been looking very tempting to me in all the colors and structure variations. I wish that sense of groundedness and peace apperar again and replace the bruises.
