just a little snow
February 8, 2019
we don’t always get snow in Victoria
so it is a shock when we do
I finished shoveling the sidewalk even after the handle on the snow shovel broke
better get a new one tomorrow – just in case
staying inside for the day I got some weaving done on the tea towels
8 harness, advancing twill
I’ve been neglecting the floor loom – too much tapestry weaving
and struggling with the backstrap loom
it’s time to finish these

Honestly, I’m a little jealous of the snow, but at the same time very glad we’re getting rain and chilly weather. The tea towels look lovely! I haven’t been able to comment here for a while but suddenly WordPress lets me!

Suzanne – oh, I am so happy to hear from you. I hadn’t heard for so long I was worried if you were o.k. I tried sending emails and they were sent back to me. I didn’t realize WordPress was being difficult, I know several Bloggers are having trouble with comments – one has actually changed to wordpress. Think the companies are have a war for membership – seems to be the way of the world right now.

Am pushing my luck a bit by writing back, but that is strange about the emails. Maybe that is fixed too! I don’t understand these things! Anyway, it’s so good to hear from you!

Suzanne – I hope the computer world has sorted itself out and we are back on track. I thought maybe you had changed your email address and was going to write you snail mail. I’ve emailed WordPress to ask if they have changed the comment format as I haven’t heard that anyone else is having trouble. Very annoying! I’d send you some of our snow but don’t think it will travel. 🙂

Snow is always a good excuse to stay home and weave! I get to use that excuse more than you do–we’ve had lots of snow and a crazy amount of ice.

Kerry – we have the mildest weather in Canada and still we complain. Your ice and snow is beautiful but…! And so we will weave.

Kjerstin – don’t think it is going to last long but the wind and cold may be nasty. Have a student in the studio on Fri. mornings so cranked up the heat, it was very cozy.
