time and the weather
June 11, 2014
progress is slow and the garden keeps calling – loudly!
I let the foxglove self seed where it will
time to make a double batch of rhubarb muffins
but the weaving is also calling
using my Mother’s knitting bobbins to keep the silk threads from tangling
the inlay is so much fun I can’t seem to stop
at last – the Icelandic fleece is spun
washed the 3lbs 5oz now weighs 2lbs 8oz – more stash!
old linen napkins soaked up the indigo
they were well used and are very fragile, with some small holes, but the handwork makes them worth saving

The message in the dye probably says, “take a nap!” You are so busy and productive! I love the look of the old linens in their new color–the indigo is beautiful.
