lichens bloom in the Spring rain

another 5 day, 15 minute page is finished – and two more tiny sweaters

when the time is up I feeling like there is still more to finish

when starting another page, on day one, it is difficult to know how much can be completed in the time limit

not something I have worried about in the past – it is frustrating

and there really isn’t time to plan the next page – the lesson learned is not to plan,  just work in the moment

it doesn’t come easily, I wonder if I can maintain the momentum for all 20 pages

the start of page #4

still knitting tiny orange sweaters – the green cords hold the stitches for the sleeves

it is getting easier although each sweater is a little different

and four needles can get rather cumbersome

a brooch pin stitched on the back makes it easy to wear – this one is for my neighbour

and last – but definitely not least – praying for Ukraine – and Peace

Came here via “Going Batty in Wales.” Those little sweaters are utterly adorable.

Laurie – welcome! the orange sweaters are significant for Canada’s indigenous people but they make great Christmas tree decorations in different colours and cute little brooches with a pin on the back and how about one in team colours for a soccer playing grandchild.

I know myself too well to think I could do that challenge – anything requiring me to do something every day / week / month is doomed. However I am intrigued by having a time limit which prevents too much planning. Maybe I will try to come up with a modified challenge that incorporates that.

Sue – I’m a planner, I pre-plan all my work – on paper, samples and in my head over and over. In this project I’m not learning new techniques just “mind” techniques. Whether any of them stick or not will remain to be seen!

I would be hard pressed on a 15minute limit. I guess though if you had a little pile of scraps it could be achieved.
Once long ago (I keep finding them) I used a pile of zip lock bags (quite small) and filled them with items, usually in a theme or colour. The idea was one a week! On some sort of substrate….by the looks if it, I didn’t do many!
    Love your little sweaters

Catherine – that’s 15 minutes for 5 days for each page. The 100 hundred days equals 20 pages. I don’t take on a challenge like that without giving it a great deal of thought – because once committed I don’t quit.
