Scrap Happy June

nothing new to report – oh no, more hexies!

I hoped to have this finished

but Kate offered some indigo scraps and I think they are on the slow boat from Australia

I’m impatiently waiting to add a row or two down the right side

where a row of plain, dark blue hexies are stitched

in the meantime I’ve been stitching between all the stripes

then adding French knots here and there

not sure how the edges will be finished?

or what the piece will be used for – but think I’m coming to the end of my hexie craze

from the inside looking out

still adding a new hexie flower each Monday to mark the pandemic weeks

there is one ready for tomorrow

but life is getting back to a new kind of normal

I’m getting my hair cut this week, thank goodness

so maybe these are coming to an end too

and in the words of our provincial health minister, Dr. Bonnie Henry

“be kind, be calm, be safe”
