a new decade

a time to wish everyone a Happy New Year
to reflect on what has passed
and to hope that peace and sanity will prevail
calendars are becoming difficult to find
soon my grandkids won’t even know what they were used for
I had hoped to finish the tapestry by the end of the year
but now it is headed into a new decade – and who knows what that will bring
may you be safe, healthy and optimistic!

Your comment about your grandchildren not knowing what a calendar is for made me laugh. Yesterday I watched a clip on YouTube where two teens were trying to work out how to make a call on an old phone with a rotary dial. Their parents set them a 5 minute deadline. They didn’t make it! How things have changed, and how quickly. I wonder what the next 20 years holds. Happy New Year and decade xx

Kate – there is a reverse to that – at Christmas I was watching those grands comparing their “smart watches”! Everyone needs/wants the newest and the best. Can’t imagine what the next 10 years will bring. A happy, healthy New Year to you and yours.
