weaving again
October 28, 2019
tea towels again
using up small cones from the stash – 2/8 cottons
at least they will be bright and cheerful
and – October’s challenge
finished and stitched – the blanket is growing
only 2 more months of the self imposed backstrap challenge
what have I learned?
patience
now it is time to tidy up and prepare for the studio tour

Love the block twill! And it reminds me that I want to do more towels like this! I am endlessly impressed at your persistence with the backstrap loom–your patience has really paid off.

Kerry – the twill is an easy way to use up an assortment of random colours. I’m looking forward to the end of monthly backstrap challenges.

Best wishes for the studio tour, and I do wish I could buy lovely bright tea towels like those. It’s all blue and white check, or kitschy…

Kate – over the years, it is the bright, non-traditional towels that sell the best.

Hi Jean,
Good luck on the studio tour. I love the new tea towel design. Could you set two aside for me? ~~Suzanna 🙏

Suzanna – I’ll send you a picture when they are finished. T.V. news pictures are terrifying, hope you and friends and family are safe.
