little things mean a lot

May 6, 2016

can’t believe the pressure is off

one more late night of stitching

look at the size of the saki bottle!

yesterday we drove down the mountain to visit the potter Ryutaro Yamada (great photos when I get home)

I had to add to my collection!

then on to Tohei’s pizza restaurant for the best pizza ever

a visit to a glass blowers studio, then the 7 Eleven and home to more stitching

fell in love with this little jug

the stencilled bag needs more colour and then more dips in the indigo

and Hiro’s wonderful small pottery pieces

A hashi oki (chopstick rest) shaped like a vase, a heart and an earring

on woven shibori dyed in cochineal and indigo

Bryan is dyeing  kakishibui dyed tenugui (towels) in the sun

second hanten is finished

on to the next project!

Kerry – I’m learning vast amounts of something? haven’t had time to process it yet. Lots of pictures when I get home.
