it’s Labour Day weekend and the Saanich Fair is back for the 148th year
the weather was good and the crowds were happy
except for some in the parking lots
patience is a virtue, folks!
the animals were better behaved than some of the humans
I have a special fondness for the donkeys
despite the signs it is amazing the number of people who insist on sticking their hands in pens
don’t you love the knitted leggings?

the Victoria and Deep Cove Weaver’s Guilds were there
weaving and spinningthe textile crafts and needlework have their own display room
I had the pleasure of judging the spinning this year
this piece won a special prize
( sorry I forgot to make a note of the young girl’s name)
some of the chickens are a work of art
the bunnies are a crowd favorite
that’s it
I was too busy having fun to take any more pictures
Fairs!! Such fun–and your photos really capture that!
