    Ahhh, the colors of your silk yarns!
    I really enjoyed those videos, I follow Bryan’s blog, but haven’t watched the clips till now.
    So much work with growing own silk, but it looks like a lot of fun. I like processes without shortcuts.

      Alfia – raising silkworms is labor intensive, they have voracious appetites and you need a large, reliable supply of appropriate food. They also need constant cleaning and then there is the reeling. All rather daunting.

      Kerry – good quality 2 ply silk for a warp is a breeze to weave or start with wool or cotton warp and use silk for the weft. And it dyes beautifully.

      Velma – I can never decide if silk or linen is my favorite, guess it is whichever one I’m working with at the time
