a stroll in the countryside
April 9, 2014
a trip to the rural community of Metchosin to see the fibre Art Show Consider the Lilies XII
is always a treat
the show is held in St. Mary’s church
as well as the work on show and for sale
from a group of 12 twelve artists
my personal favorite – Emily Carr
the churchyard is well known for the lilies that bloom in the
Spring
headstones date back to 1873 when the church was built
then it was on to ‘Chosin Pottery, home and studio of Robin Hopper and Judi Dyelle
I couldn’t resist this tea bowl by Judi
then a stroll around the garden to see Robin’s wonderful outdoor installations
just a few of my favorite things

I love see in blog Jean…you are an inspiration to me.
This reminded me that we talked about you coming to the Cowichan Valley countryside for a visit. Lots going on at the farm….donkeys, chickens and soon we’ll have a couple of goats…hope you can come soon.

Hi Marion – I tried emailing you regarding tea and tell last month and it came back to me. have just returned from KbyN to get your phone # from Ryan. What a coincidence. Are you weaving? I would love to come up and see you and the spring babies. let me know what is convenient for you, I’m pretty flexible. Have just finished a class, studio tour is April 26-27 then I’ll think about an early summer class. So happy to have the correct email address. Jean 🙂
