finishing
December 22, 2012
finished – complete
finished – washed and pressed (on the right)
the variety of different weft yarns are quite evident in the rippling of the edges
it’s a little rustic but looks wonderful with old wood and some of my pottery
a simple 4 thread kumihimo cord using space- dyed silk
with sterling silver ends makes a cord for a family locket
which acted like a mirror when photographing

lovely! the rustic nature of the rippling edges will look well if you decide not to press it next time. it’s like linen; best when wrinkled. the kumihimo came out beautifully, and is well suited with the locket. any major fiber plans in the coming year?
