a day to give thanks

October 28, 2012

I didn’t feel a thing

we were lucky – this time – magnitude 7.7

no damage and no injuries

located in almost exactly the same place

I remember the 1949 big one

we lived in Terrace B.C., 90 miles East of Prince Rupert

my father was the fire chief, his car rolled down the main street, I was safe in bed

thanks Aimee – the tsunami warnings covered the entire coast, Alaska to Calf. and Hawaii. thankfully it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

neki – this was the largest since 1949, “they” are constantly warning us that the big one is coming!

there have been some tremors felt here as well, glad the tsunami was just a warning! makes one wonder if a mountain top might not be cozy. glad, everyone is well!
