rain drops are falling
October 14, 2012
silk dyed with the indigo stems
the white piece was a remnant, labeled “silk”
opps! not silk, a burn test is inconclusive but it did take a little colour – very light blue/gray
still using up the endless stash, this time linen for a tea towel warp
the rain is here to stay
you can almost hear the earth breath a sigh of relief
this is as it should be in a temperate rain forest!

Wind howling here, throughout quilt group today. I have lit the fire and tonight’s television is good (for a change) so that’s me sorted after a day of handstitching bias tape Celtic knots.

Lis – the leaves are flying and piling up in corners, I am getting out the woolies. I love your Celtic knots, don’t know how you get them so perfect, mine would be odd sizes and misshapen.

Velma – Blandina I don’t mind the rain but the strong winter winds drive me crazy. It’s a time to weave and read.

Heavy rains are forecast for today here as well.
It will be nice to stay home and work on some craft.
