leaving on a jet plane

April 11, 2012

the lawn is cut – and so is my hair

the bags are packed – there is still space, have I forgotten something?

I’ve been checking the weather in Japan, the temperature is about the same as here

 – my sakiori jacket should be warm enough

I wove it years ago for a conference. It is fully reversible with the seams covered with handmade bias tape

four different fabrics were used, the fabric used for the  bodices and cuffs was cut carefully, kept in order and shifted when woven to maintain the pattern.

I might do a bit of shopping!
