little things mean a lot

little things mean a lot

Heather sent wishes for a safe journey in the form of a Japanese talisman she made with fabric from a workshop. She painted the envelope and look at the crazy stamps – cows! They are available (the talismans not the cows)  in temples all over Japan, the blessing is inside the little pouch and it is considered bad luck to open it. This one is very special.

I’m scurrying along on a rainy cloud 9 , crossing things off endless “to do” lists

from England Lis  sent me a picture of a quilt designed from the sudoku grid. She didn’t give the name of the quilter, isn’t it beautiful?

I found this discarded 12 patch on my walk today

this is my first sudoku patched, I’m not a quilter so it is somewhat wonkie,  made more so by the need to use the hem stitching to cut 9 squares from a napkin.. Hopefully I’ll get better.
