happy endings

March 15, 2012

first project off the loom and now the finishing

trimming the ends

twisting the fringe

a proud new weaver

another student has finished her scarf and is sampling on the end of the warp

this was very difficult to photograph

at night under bright lights the pattern wasn’t obvious when looking at the weaving straight on

from the side a pattern is developing

in daylight the pattern shows up nicely

woven on the log cabin threading and a variation of  a hopsack treadling, even a neutral,  single colour heading has possibilities.

sampling has its rewards!
