button, button

not much happening yet in the new year
I’ll be teaching a button making class at Craigdarroch Castle in their traditional Victorian craft workshops
Saturday, January 28th www.thecastle.ca for information
Dorset buttons are probably the most recognized needle-woven buttons. They were made in a cottage industry in England from the early 1700’s until about 1860.
the class is only 3 hours long but these buttons are fun to do and wonderful to use on handwovens or knitted items.
I’ll be teaching a second class on March 3rd when we’ll do something completely different.
more samples to come – stay tuned.
