small gifts

trying to get small gifts finished before the Christmas panic
the M’s and O’s needlecases are coming together. I allowed for pockets while weaving and hemstitched one end to make finishing easier.
silk dye samples make nice lining using fusible interfacing
want to finish with kumihimo ties but can’t find my braiding card. I gave up wasting time searching and ordered another online.
the weft used up small amounts of handspun yarns and there is one larger piece left over for bojagi, books or ??
all these little projects don’t use up much of the stash.
the wide bands in the yellow fabric are shifu that was dyed with onion skins.
now off to thread the shibori warp.

these are absolutely lovely! i love practical gifts, it’s nice to be reminded of the giver every time they’re used. your dyeings and shifu weavings are fantastic; the feel of them is probably wonderful!
