tea towel exchange
October 28, 2011
this year the challenge to my weaving students was a tea towel exchange
we put our towels in grocery bags – the store’s trademark is the smile (thanks Thrifty Foods)
from the left – Arlene and my towel, Kathy with Heather’s, me with Arlene’s and Heather with Kathy’s towel.
a quick close-up
Arlene’s towel, now I’m the happy owner. Just look at the woven hanging loop!
and a bonus, she brought us each a sample from Davison’s, “A Handweaver’s Pattern Book”
this may become an annual event, thank you Lauren for taking the photos.

Beautiful weaving, it is like reading a hand written page. The rythm of weaving is a form of meditation, how many thoughts and feelings are woven with the yarn?
