bloomin’ in the summer

June 18, 2011

our blooming season has been delayed and extended by a damp, cool Spring .

masses of pink and white peonies fill the air with the scent of roses.

foxglove, painted by the fairies

lady’s-mantle, how did it get that name?

and the amazing blue love-in-a-mist, that self seeds everywhere.

and has out-of-this-world seed pods.

and under it all, blue star creeper

I’m in the garden
