in anticipation

April 28, 2011

18 days until my cast comes off. In anticipation of starting a new weaving I’m winding a warp. Planning on some lovely linen fabric to cut up and use for bojagi. 20/2 French linen warp and 40/1 weft.

it’s a beautiful yarn and is the warp in the background towel. I love linen.

two old damask linen napkins eco dyed in the dried up eucalyptus bath, they are a soft olive greeny colour. Hard to describe. Plan to include pieces of them in the bojagi, too.

haven’t been able to stitch with one hand. Can’t wait to get started. And then there is all those unfinished pieces waiting!

Plan to thread the warp in a lace pattern so there will be some textured squares in the bojaji. Need a pattern with plain weave separating  lace blocks, for the seams. Have to do some reading – and thinking.

It seems that my problem with WordPress/Microsoft has been fixed. Oh, joy!
