April 14, 2011

this weekend is my studio tour, I needed something bright and cheerful to spin. The fibre is a commercial blend, 40% bamboo and 60% silk that I painted with Procion MX dyes and cold set for 24 hours. Colour inspiration came from a Degas painting “Dancers in Blue.

it definitely is bright, will be fun to spin as a fine 2 ply and use in either knitting or weaving.

I can weave! With one hand and not too slowly either. YES!
