tea, cookies and carols

December 9, 2010

Last night my grandson sang at Christ Church Cathedral with his  school choir. The Cathedral has a long and interesting history in the city. Hearing the clear, young voices singing many of the traditional carols in this setting is a moving experience. It always reminds me of childhood Christmas’  with my parents.

There was standing room only and the lighting is kept low, impossible to photograph during the service.

The altar cloth is magnificent. Hand pieced and stitched. I think it is the work of a local artist but will have to go back to verify that.

Not much textile work being done at this time.

Tea and cookies are being consumed.

You are invited to join me.
