studio tour is next

November 15, 2010

The weekend sale was not worth remembering. Except, possibly for the endless repetition of questions, as I sat and spun silk;

Doesn’t your foot get tired (or hurt). Will you spin my dog hair (or cat). How long does it take you to make something. I have a loom I want to sell???

And 2 I’ve never heard before. What kind of sheep does silk come from. If I take the wool stuffing out of my grandmothers quilt (30 years old) will you spin it?

And a couple comments that don’t bear thinking about. Oh, how tedious, why do you do it.  And, I always think women need a hobby.

 Today I’m unpacking and preparing for the studio tour on the weekend. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope for reasonable weather. After that I may hibernate!

The last rose of summer, although we sometimes get a few roses through-out  the winter. Wish you could smell it.

      well, yes. This was definitely my last sale. Actually had someone stick a camera in my face without so much as a good morning. When I emphatically told her NO thanks she said I looked “quaint”. Quaint I ain’t!
